This refund policy outlines the terms under which cancellations and refunds are processed for safari bookings and tour packages made through Ranthambore Safari Book. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking. All refunds are processed as per the timelines and conditions stated below.

Safari Booking Cancellation Policy

Safari permits are subject to the cancellation rules set by the Rajasthan Forest Department. Once a safari permit is booked and confirmed, the following cancellation charges apply:

Cancellation made more than 7 days before the safari date — 75% refund of the safari permit amount (after deducting forest department charges and administrative fees).
Cancellation made 3 to 7 days before the safari date — 50% refund of the safari permit amount.
Cancellation made less than 3 days before the safari date — No refund.
No show on the safari date — No refund.

Forest Department Cancellations

In the rare event that the Rajasthan Forest Department cancels a safari due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, political unrest, or administrative reasons), the permit amount will be refunded in full as per forest department norms. Book Ranthambore is not liable for any consequential losses arising from such cancellations.

Tour Package Cancellation Policy

For tour packages that include accommodation, safaris, meals, and transfers, the following cancellation policy applies:

10 days or less before departure OR No Show — No Refund.
11 to 20 days before departure — 20% of the tour cost will be refunded.
21 to 30 days before departure — 40% of the tour cost is refunded.
31 to 59 days before departure — 60% of the tour cost will be refunded.
60 days or more before departure — 80% of the tour cost will be refunded.
120 days or more before departure — Full Refund (excluding administrative / statutory charges / taxes if any).

Please note that the cancellation policy is subject to change depending on the specific tour package. Certain packages, especially during peak season or festivals, may have stricter cancellation terms. Please refer to your specific package confirmation for exact terms.

Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling of safari bookings or tour packages is subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Requests for rescheduling must be made at least 7 days before the original booking date. Rescheduling is treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a fresh booking, and the cancellation policy above will apply proportionately.

Refund Processing Time

Once a cancellation request is approved, refunds are processed within 10 to 15 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Please note that bank processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

Lens / Camera fees (INR 250) charged by the forest department at the time of entry.
Any personal orders of food, beverages, laundry, or phone calls from property facilities.
Any costs arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural causes, or sudden changes in forest permits and fees.
Long weekends, public holidays, or festive season hike amounts (Diwali, Christmas, New Year, etc.).
